Kilcarra Tweed (Bréidín Árainn) is a beautiful woollen spun aran weight yarn, made in Ireland in a beautiful colour palette and perfect for winter cardigans and sweaters. It is sold by several brands under different names.

Suitable for both hand knitting and machine knitting (5Gg slipstitch/3Gg). It blooms beautifully after it is washed, and according to the manufacturer garments will get its final shape after two washes. We recommend knitting and washing a swatch to determine your gauge accurately.
